Wentwell Wednesday #13

Good writers are dangerous – we test and tinker and tweak until we know what will play well, dialing up or down to match or change the atmosphere. Make no mistake, every message has been carefully constructed to elicit response, incite action, or influence emotion. Nothing is objective. Whenever we communicate, we must therefore do so with purpose, clear-eyed as to our principles and accountable to the posterity of our point of view.

Remember – dystopia isn’t necessarily created by a single cataclysmic event or one group subjugating another, rather it is the gradual chipping away at truth itself. Stand up to clients. Stand up for others. Stand behind your writing.
